Drawing influence from a golden era for Savile Row, when musicians, artists and aristocrats enjoyed close personal relationships with their tailors, London’s 1970s recording scene is the inspiration behind Gieves & Hawkes’ latest campaign.
Signature ‘70s cuts and colours are given contemporary treatment for Autumn/Winter. Blouson jackets in cognac suede or tobacco corduroy are paired with cashmere and fine merino knitwear, while sharp tailored overcoats are cut with generous revere collars. The colour palette features chocolate, biscuit and saffron, accented with shades of red, blue and charcoal.
Modern tailoring is integral to the collection, with three-piece suits designed in textured cloths that transition smoothly from day to night. The house’s cut has been refined for a contemporary English feel, with perfectly proportioned square lapels, clean roped shoulders and a smooth waisted silhouette.
Shot at Goodwood House and racing circuit, the new season campaign features key looks that channel a sense of aristocratic composure, giving voice to the signature qualities of Gieves & Hawkes – sophisticated, timeless and quintessentially British.
