For the new Cruise 2015 collection, Orlebar Brown are about to take you on a journey through a tropical paradise, taking inspiration from the vibrancy and colours synonymous with the South Pacific.
In search of a new adventure in the exploration of print, Orlebar Brown have experimented with the ancient arts of Batik and Tamanu, a unique sand drawing technique, to offer depth and texture to the in-house print collection.
Revisiting satellite photography, a series of Alex Mclean’s iconic aerial shots celebrate the ocean adorning key styles for CR15 and continuing the play with photographic print, Orlebar Brown have dipped into the archive of Hulton Getty to re-imagine the colours of the black and white photographs, digitally painting them to give a new lease of life.
To ease the seasonal transition, hero separates within the ready-to-wear collection have matured to embrace new slub effect towelling, Italian cotton, pique sweats and seersucker, in a multitude of shades that echo the South Pacific.
